Damon Severson, Ryan Olsen lead Kelowna Rockets over Victoria Royals 6-1

KELOWNA, B.C. – Damon Severson and Ryan Olsen each had a goal and an assist Wednesday as the Kelowna Rockets defeated the Victoria Royals 6-1 in the Western Hockey league.

Myles Bell, with his team-leading 27th goal of the season, Carter Rigby, MacKenzie Johnston and Zach Franko also scored for Kelowna (30-10-2), which exploded for five goals in the second period after a scoreless first.

Jordon Cooke stopped 17 shots as the Rockets won their seventh straight.

Trent Lofthouse, with his 10th goal of the season and first with the Royals after getting traded from Everett last week, replied for Victoria (20-16-3), which was outshot 38-18.

Patrik Polivka stopped 32 shots for the Royals.
