Police seek man who abducted and beat a woman who offered to help him
MAPLE RIDGE, B.C. – Police are looking for a man who abducted and beat a woman in Maple Ridge, B.C.
The RCMP say the woman was standing outside a business Saturday night when the man asked her for help getting his car started.
When she agreed, the man pulled out a weapon and forced her to drive her car out of the area.
He then attacked her, but she fought back and managed to escape to a nearby home where police were called, while the man fled in her vehicle, which was later recovered.
The woman was treated in hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
Police are looking for a man in his 20’s about 5-feet-9 inches tall with a medium build, a dark complexion and a few days of facial stubble.
