Sam Reinhart had a goal and an assist for Kootenay (27-28-2), while Tanner Muth, Luke Philp and Brock Montgomery added singles. Mackenzie Skapski made 30 saves for the win.

Steven Hodges was the lone scorer for Victoria (32-20-4). Patrik Polivka started in net for the Royals and was pulled after Descheneau’s goal. He stopped 19 of 23 shots. Coleman Vollrath turned aside four of the five shots he faced in relief.
