Manitoba’s Jones beats Ontario’s Homan 9-7 to remain unbeaten at Scotties
KINGSTON, Ont. – Ontario’s Rachel Homan has her first loss at the Scotties Tournament of Hearts.
She dropped a 9-7 decision to Manitoba’s Jennifer Jones in the morning draw at the K-Rock Centre.
Jones has won all eight of her round-robin games and has locked up a playoff berth.
Saskatchewan’s Jill Shumay defeated Team Canada’s Heather Nedohin 7-5 in the other early game.
Round-robin play continues through Friday evening.
The top four rinks in the 12-team field will qualify for the playoffs on the weekend.
