TORONTO – Toronto forward Joffrey Lupul says he expects to return to action when the Maple Leafs host the Winnipeg Jets on Saturday.
Lupul went through a full practice with his teammates on Friday and has been cleared for contact by the team.
He suffered a fractured forearm in Toronto’s 5-2 win in Pittsburgh on Jan. 23.
Lupul is coming off his best offensive season, putting up 67 points in 66 games with the Leafs in 2011-12.
Toronto can use his scoring touch, as the eighth-place Jets can pass the Leafs in the Eastern Conference standings with a win.
