USA’s viral marketing of ‘Psych’ includes ending for 100th episode that’s chosen by viewers

NEW YORK, N.Y. – Wednesday will be a big night at television’s USA network. To celebrate the 100th episode of the drama “Psych,” fans are being encouraged to vote on which one of three endings will air on the show’s murder mystery.

The stunt culminates USA’s two-year experiment at marketing the show almost exclusively to its dedicated fan base, primarily through social media.

The show’s two lead characters, Shawn and Gus, are trying to solve a crime on Wednesday’s episode. Fans are given a choice of suspects ultimately guilty of the crime. Three endings implicating three suspects have been filmed. Viewers will be updated during the show on how the vote is going.
