Grain futures mostly rose, livestock prices mixed

CHICAGO – Grains futures mostly rose Friday in early trading on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for May delivery rose 8.75 cents to $7.065 a bushel; May corn rose 6.75 cents to $6.58 a bushel; May oats were flat at $3.7375 a bushel; while May soybeans rose 16 cents to $14.18 a bushel.

Beef and pork prices were mixed on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

June live cattle rose 0.27 cent to $1.2092 a pound; May feeder cattle slipped 0.42 cent to $1.4135 a pound; June lean hogs added 0.35 cent to 89.80 cents a pound.
