Suarez equalizes for Liverpool in 2-2 draw with Chelsea, appears to bite opponent’s arm

LIVERPOOL, England – Luis Suarez scored a last-minute equalizer for Liverpool in a 2-2 draw against Chelsea on Sunday, having earlier appeared to bite an opponent’s arm in a second-half incident at Anfield.

In the latest chapter in his controversial career, Suarez also gave away a penalty with a needless handball and Eden Hazard converted the spot kick to put Chelsea ahead in the 57th minute.

Minutes later, the Uruguay striker tussled with Branislav Ivanovic in the penalty box and television pictures appeared to show Suarez biting the Chelsea defender.

But Suarez had the last word, heading home the equalizer with seconds remaining to deny interim Chelsea manager Rafa Benitez a winning return to his former club.
