Two-time world champion coach Sutter back with national junior hockey team
TORONTO – Brent Sutter is back as coach of Canada’s national junior hockey team.
The 51-year-old native of Viking, Alta., was named head coach of the Canadian squad by Hockey Canada on Wednesday.
Sutter led Canada to world junior gold in 2005 and ’06 and most recently served as the Canadian team coach at the 2012 world hockey championship.
Also, Dale Hunter was named the head coach of Canada’s national summer under-18 squad.
Hunter, 52, of Petrolia, Ont., is the owner, president and head coach of the OHL’s London Knights.
