LANGLEY, B.C. – A 45-year-old Langley, B.C., man is facing drunk driving charges over allegations he sped off after two separate vehicle crashes and a run in with a tree.
RCMP Cpl. Holly Marks says police were first called when a car was rear ended at an intersection and the Honda didn’t stop.
Less than a minute later, police say the same vehicle was spotted slamming into the tree and driving off.
Marks says an officer who stopped the driver noted a strong odour of liquor and brought him back to the detachment where breath samples exceeded the legal alcohol limit.
Later, police received another complaint from someone who was rear ended while waiting at a train crossing earlier in the day and they made the connection to the same suspect.
No one was hurt in the mayhem.
