SURREY, B.C. – Homicide investigators have called a news conference for 11 a.m. to discuss a fourth arrest in the targeted slayings of Lisa Dudley and Guthrie McKay.

The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team announced the arrest Sunday and a spokeswoman says Supt. Kevin Hacket is expected to release more information at the upcoming news conference.

Dudley and McKay were in their Mission home on Sept. 22, 2008 when they were shot.

McKay died instantly but Dudley was paralysed and survived for several days before dying as she was being rushed to hospital after being found by a neighbour.

The case gained attention because area residents reported hearing shots at the time of the attack but a police officer sent to investigate did not get out of his cruiser, so did not see Dudley lying critically injured in the house.

On Friday, 66-year-old Bruce Main was sentenced to eight years in prison for the killings, a second man is already serving a life term after admitting to the crime and a third man is still awaiting trial.
