LOS ANGELES, Calif. – Andie MacDowell says she hesitated when she was offered a chance to star in a new Hallmark Channel series.
MacDowell was eager to work on the drama, “Debbie Macomber’s Cedar Cove,” based on novelist Macomber’s books about a small town.
But the actress says she worried the project would interfere with finishing her “job” as a parent, with a daughter yet to graduate high school and still at home.
But she says a delay in production solved the problem.
“Cedar Cover” features MacDowell playing a small-town judge. The show debuts Saturday on the Hallmark Channel. It’s the channel’s first prime-time series.
