CHICAGO – Christina Hendricks says she’s feeling weepy as “Mad Men” approaches its seventh and final season.
Hendricks, who plays Joan Harris, said Thursday that she plans on enjoying “every second” of filming when it resumes in November. She was in Chicago to host the opening of the city’s Magnificent Mile Shopping Festival.
Hendricks talked about the show’s signature style, saying Joan started wearing higher necklines when she got married and power suits when she was promoted within the advertising firm.
That’s different from Hendricks’ personal style, which she says is whimsical and romantic. And she lets her hair down too, as opposed to Joan’s “Mad Men” updo.
But the critically adored AMC show has influenced her. Hendricks says she never owned a pencil skirt before “Mad Men” started.
