NEW YORK, N.Y. – NBC’s game show “The Million Second Quiz” is running out of time to make an impact.
The network hoped to make a big splash in the two weeks before the start of the traditional TV season with the game show hosted by Ryan Seacrest. But some critics said the game was confusing in execution, and over six airings last week, the show’s viewership dropped every single night.
The Nielsen company said the show drew just over 6.5 million viewers for its debut last Monday. It dropped to 5.8 million the next night and kept sinking all the way to 2.9 million on Saturday.
NBC hasn’t said whether the show will be back after it ends this week.
