One person is dead and three more are in hospital after motorcycle crash

SURREY, B.C. – One person is dead and three others are in hospital after a motorcyclist ran into three high school students in Surrey, B.C.

Police say the motorcyclist crashed into the three young women in an intersection not far from the students’ school.

RCMP say the accident happened at about 11:30 a.m. Wednesday.

Two of the pedestrians were taken to hospital by air ambulance with critical injuries, but one of those students has since passed away in hospital.

The other pedestrian and the driver of the motorcycle were taken to hospital by ambulance with serious injuries.

RCMP school liaison officers and victim services personal have been deployed to lend support to those affected by the crash.
