Honda Canada recalling 28,000 vehicles over air bag deployment issues

MARKHAM, Ont. – Honda Canada is recalling approximately 23,300 Honda Odyssey vehicles from the 2003-2004 model years and 4,800 Acura MDX vehicles from the 2003 model year.

Honda says it’s because of a potential malfunction that may cause an inadvertent airbag deployment.

An electrical noise filter will be installed to address the issue.

Honda Canada says it has received one report of an inadvertent airbag deployment, but no collisions or injuries have been reported related to the issue.

Owners can take affected vehicles to a dealer once they receive recall notices, which are expected to be mailed beginning late next month.
