Vancouver Canucks send forward Nicklas Jensen to AHL’s Utica Comets

VANCOUVER – The Vancouver Canucks have assigned forward Nicklas Jensen to the Utica Comets of the American Hockey League.

The move comes after Jensen came off the Canucks’ injured reserve list. He was hurt in a Sept. 29 exhibition game against Edmonton when he was checked hard into the boards.

The 20-year-old native Herning, Denmark, played two games for the Canucks last season. He also played 20 games for the AHL’s Chicago Wolves (two goals, two assists) and 50 games for AIK of the Swedish Elite League (17 goals, six assists).

The six-foot-three, 197-pound winger was originally selected 29th overall by the Canucks in the 2011 draft.
