WINNIPEG – One of the survivors of a fiery plane crash in northwestern Ontario says she is doing well and on the road to recovery.
Julie Dayholos has released a statement through the Winnipeg Health Sciences Centre where she is recuperating.
She thanks everyone who has sent her support and encouragement and says her thoughts are with the families who lost loved ones in the crash.
Five of seven people on board a Bearskin Airlines plane were killed when the aircraft when down on approach to the Red Lake airport on Sunday.
Police have said the twin-engine turbo prop plane burst into flames when it hit the ground.
The two pilots were among those killed.
