Eller scores tiebreaking goal in 3rd, Pacioretty has 4 points; Canadiens beat Stars 6-4

DALLAS – Lars Eller broke a tie midway through the third period, Max Pacioretty had two goals and two assists, and the Montreal Canadiens beat the Dallas Stars 6-4 on Thursday night.

P.K. Subban had a goal and three assists, and Brendan Gallagher and David Desharnais also scored for Montreal, which finished a season-high six-game road trip at 3-2-1.

Eller put a wrist shot into the top of the net after the Stars scored twice in a three-minute span to tie it.

Valeri Nichushkin converted a penalty shot for Dallas. Jamie Benn, Tyler Seguin and Brenden Dillon tallied for the Stars.

Dallas (20-13-7) lost in regulation for the first time in eight games, ending its longest streak of games with a point this season at 5-0-2.
