OTTAWA — The Ottawa Senators have signed Norwegian forward Eskild Bakke Olsen to a one-year, entry-level contract, the NHL team announced Monday.
The 24-year-old had 11 goals and 21 assists in 52 games with Linkoping HC of the Swedish Hockey League last season.
Bakke Olsen was part of the Norwegian team that upset Canada 3-2 in overtime in the bronze medal game of last month’s world hockey championship in Switzerland.
He had two goals and three assists in 10 games during the tournament.
Bakke Olsen made his professional hockey debut in his hometown of Hamar with the Storhamar Hockey Club in the 2019-20 season.
