Touchdown Kelowna officially opens with a sign reveal

Friday Morning was the grand reveal of Kelowna’s new signature sign by artist Coralee Miller in Stuart Park. The first event that started what will be 9 days of back-to-back events hosted by the City of Kelowna and the BC Lions.

The city is expected to have an influx of visitors partaking in the events, starting with Alan Doyle on Friday night. Leading into a game on Saturday, June 27, of the BC Lions versus the Calgary Stampeders.

Apple Bowl Stadium has been greatly improved to be able to seat the large quantity of fans coming from both in and out of town. With the addition of 2 large bleachers for people to sit in, fans are surely going to feel like they’re at an authentic Lions game. All the seats will have an excellent view of the field.

    Very exciting! Lots going on this weekend! I really appreciate the efforts the city makes to make our town a destination and make it impressive for the visitors to come and want to come again!
