Destination Silver Star is turning its village into a carnival, with a full day of family-friendly activities, live entertainment and fundraising all in support of Vernon Jubilee Hospital’s Emergency Department.
The Summer Spectacular takes place Saturday, June 27, with free entry to the carnival and activities running throughout the day in the village. A donations table will be set up on the village lawn from 11 am to 4:30 pm, with proceeds from fundraisers going toward the hospital’s emergency department.
Visitors can take in gondola rides by donation, carnival games, snacks, and an artisan market.
Families can also look forward to roving entertainment from Kinshira and Evan the Juggler from 11 am to 2 pm, an inflatable zone near the gondola from 11 am to 3 pm, and free family photos at the barn beyond the gondola from noon to 2 pm.
The afternoon will feature a Kinshira Circus Show near The Red Antler Patio from 2 pm to 2:30 pm, followed by live music with the Late Boomers on the stage from 2:30 pm to 4:30 pm.
The SilverStar bike park will also be open from 10 am to 5 pm for those who want to add some downhill adventure to the day.
For families wanting to make the most of their time on the mountain, Destination Silver Star has several summer activities available, including the Gnome Roam, Bear Byway, and incredible hiking trails.
Food and drink options will be available throughout the day for anyone looking to fuel up between carnival stops.
Full event details are available on the Destination SilverStar website.
