LJUBLJANA — Canada’s men lost its fourth straight game of the week in falling to sixth-ranked Brazil 3-2 (25-17, 23-25, 28-26, 22-25, 17-15) in Volleyball Nations League play on Sunday.
After Brazil convincingly won the first set, Canada cleaned up its game in forcing a tiebreak, with the game lasting almost three hours.
Sharone Vernon-Evans led Canada with 19 points, including two aces.
Skyler Varga added 18 points (15 kills, one block and two aces).
Earlier in the week, the Canadians fell to both host Slovenia and Ukraine in four sets.
Canada entered Sunday coming off a five-set loss to Bulgaria on Saturday.
