Sparkling crystals, ancient fossils and colourful gemstones will take over the Kamloops Curling Club as the Kamloops Rock N’ Gem Show returns from July 3 to 5, inviting visitors to discover the natural beauty and history hidden beneath the Earth’s surface.

Presented by CanGems, the three-day event will be held at the Kamloops Curling Club, 700 Victoria Street, and features minerals, crystals, fossils, handcrafted jewelry and artisan creations from vendors across Canada. Whether you’re an experienced collector, a geology enthusiast or simply looking for a unique family outing, the show offers something for visitors of all ages.

Throughout the weekend, guests can browse displays of polished gemstones, rough rock, fossils that reveal ancient life and one-of-a-kind jewelry handcrafted by skilled artisans. The event combines geology, natural history and craftsmanship, giving visitors the chance to learn about the Earth’s history while shopping for unique treasures.

Beyond the exhibits, the show provides an opportunity to meet collectors, makers and vendors who are passionate about rocks, minerals and gemstones. Visitors can ask questions, discover how specimens are formed and explore a wide variety of pieces from around the world, making the event both educational and interactive.

A special UV Night takes place on Friday evening from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m., where select minerals and crystals glow under ultraviolet light, revealing brilliant colours that are invisible in ordinary lighting. The after-hours experience also includes a discount on purchases made during the event.

The Kamloops Rock N’ Gem Show welcomes visitors of all ages. Admission is $3 for individuals, $7 for families, and free for children five and under. Free parking is available, and service animals are welcome. Show hours are 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday.
