iNvideo: Ribfest takes over City Park

If you were passing over the bridge, it isn’t hard to miss the smells coming from Kelowna City Park as Ribfest is cooking up delicious flavours this weekend. With five different award-winning BBQ vendors, the park was buzzing with hungry customers. Live music, market vendors, and games for kids made sure the event was fun for all ages.

The five Ribbers include Boss Hog’s, Grillbilly Willy, Grizzly BBQ, Gator BBQ, and Jack the Ribber. If you weren’t too sure who to try, the rib chefs were offering free sauce samples to help you decide. If ribs aren’t your thing, they also have alternative food options such as chicken, potatoes, cornbread, and macaroni.

The event runs July 3, 4, and 5. It has been a staple annual event in Kelowna that brings BBQ fans. Tables and tents were set up for customers to enjoy their meals and spend time with friends and family. Many people were also stopping in to grab food to take home or go eat on the beach with the nice weather. The market that was set up had plenty to offer with multiple vendors. Seasoning, pickled vegetables, handmade jewellery, and much more!

Entry is only $3, but the festival was offering free entry to anyone who purchased BC Lions tickets for either of the two games part of Touchdown Kelowna. As you exit the event, a voting ballot is set up for who you thought had the best food.
