A Merritt man won $1 million in a recent Lotto 6/49 draw and plans to use his winnings to finished the renovations on his home.
David W. said when he checked his lottery ticket the first thing he saw was the two free plays he’d won, according to a BC Lottery Corporation media release.
When David W. looked closer he realized he’d won $1 million.
The lottery corporation no longer provides the full last names of lottery winners.
The winning ticket on the July 1 draw was purchased at the Walmart in Merritt.
BCLC said the odds of winning Lotto 6/49 jackpot are 1 in 13,983,816.
