Love it or hate it, Kamloops and the Okanagan have a ton of cyclists. Some cities have leaned into bike paths and trails more than others.
Here are some numbers that might make you want to pump your tires up and get exploring:
- 300: Kilometres of on-street bike lanes are in Kelowna.
- 40: Kilometres of separated multi-use paths are in Kelowna like the Okanagan Rail Trail.
- 355: Cyclists ride the Okanagan Rail Trail at Sexmith Road in Kelowna everyday on average.
- 683: Mountain bike trails are in Kamloops.
- 33: Kilometres of protected bike lanes are in Kamloops.
- 411: That’s how many active transportation projects have been funded by the B.C. government since 2017.
