Rock the Lake celebrated its 9th year running at Prospera Place this past weekend. The returning festival brought fans out to see a line-up of 11 different artists over the course of 3 days. What originated back in 2016 has evolved into a wider range of music being brought to Kelowna and fans alike.
This year’s headliner was Alexisonfire, a Canadian Post-Hardcore band that started in the early 2000s, originally from St. Catharines, Ontario. Dallas Green, the band’s rhythm guitar and vocals, hasn’t been in Kelowna since performing in 2019 as City and Colour, but made waves in the audience returning with Alexisonfire.
Amongst this year’s lineup were Juno Award-winning Cameron Whitcomb, Default, April Wine, Glass Tiger, Finger Eleven, Classified, and Hailey Benedict.
Local Kelowna artists included The Hip Replacements, Freeze The Fall, and Rise Overrun.
