iN VIDEO: Armstrong Metalfest brings metal and headbanging for 16th year

Metal fans were out in Armstrong this past weekend for Armstrong Metalfest. Two full days of camping, music, partying, games, and making new friends who share the passion that is all things metal. The festival is on it’s 16th year running and was a great success this year with greater numbers in attendance and tickets sold.

Headbanging and moshing weren’t the only things on people’s minds. Plenty of people were keeping cool and spending time with friends from out of town in their makeshift camps and inflatable pools. Throughout the festival was plenty of smaller events, including Thrash Wrestling, shopping at the metal market, and participating in arts and crafts.

The festival celebrates the metal scene and gives opportunities for newly formed bands to perform with already established bigger artists. Bands also get the opportunity to network and connect with fans, as many of the bands are also camping and enjoying their time at the festival.
