Three exciting summer performances will be happening this year at the Mackie Lake House on Kalamalka Lake. The historic Mackie Lake House Foundation has been hosting a summer concert series in the backyard of the property in Coldstream, bringing in talented musicians to entertain in the evenings.
This event is an annual fundraiser, with all proceeds directed toward preserving and presenting Mackie Lake House and its collections for the education and enjoyment of all in the Coldstream community.
Moranz & Fremlin
Ryland Moranz is an internationally touring singer-songwriter whose 2021 album XO, 1945 was nominated for the Canadian Folk Music Association’s Contemporary Album of the Year. In his spare time, Ryland plays with Leeroy Stagger, Barney Bentall, John Wort Hannam, JJ Shiplett and more.
Dan Fremlin is an internationally acclaimed bluegrass mandolinist and songwriter from the Meadows, British Columbia. An integral member of the Blue Wranglers as well as a cherished collaborator with songwriter Allen Dobb and Barney Bentall’s Cariboo Express, Dan has the pedigree of one of Canada’s finest bluegrass pickers. Any time you hear outstanding mandolin, there’s a one in three chance that it’s Dan.
Formed in 2023, Moranz & Fremlin’s debut album “Williwaw” is a collection of original and traditional songs and instrumentals scheduled to be released in Jan 2026 on Tonic Records
Jodie B is a live looping indie–folk–hip hop artist known for her genre-blending sounds and magnetizing performances. From busking on the streets to international festivals, she has shared stages with Dub FX, The Pharcyde, and Method Man & Redman. A producer and multi-instrumentalist, she has worked with Snotty Nose Rez Kids and co-produced Slug of Atmosphere, strengthening her presence in Canada’s music scene.
Tickets are just $29 and doors open at 6:00 PM with performances starting at 6:30 pm.
Guests are advised to bring a lawn chair, as it is festival-style seating and first come, first served.
