Kamloops cops have identified two suspects in an armed robbery along the riverbank near downtown on Tuesday afternoon.
Police were called to two reports of gunshots coming from the south shore near Victoria Street West around 1 p.m., July 21, where they converged to search the area, according to a Kamloops RCMP news release.
“During the early stages of the file, investigators have learned that a robbery took place and two people of interest have been identified,” spokesperson Cpl. Dana Napier said in the release.
Napier said the forensic team joined the investigation and used a drone to search the area, but it’s not clear what they discovered at the scene. She later told iNFOnews.ca investigators identified the victim, but no injuries were reported and it’s not known whether a gun was fired. She did not say what was stolen.
According to Kamloops RCMP, municipal officers and the Tk’emlups Rural Detachment responded to the call.
