MONTREAL — CF Montréal acquired defender Brayan Ceballos from the New England Revolution on Friday.

Montreal sent the Revolution US$500,000 in 2026 general allocation money, $250,000 in 2027 GAM and up to an additional $100,000 in conditional GAM.

New England will also get an undisclosed percentage of any future transfer fee involving Ceballos.

Ceballos joined Major League Soccer in January 2025 after the Revolution acquired him from Brazilian club Fortaleza EC.

The 25-year-old Colombian has scored three goals in 38 MLS appearances, including 37 starts.

Internationally, Ceballos has earned four caps with Colombia’s under-23 team, including appearances at the 2024 CONMEBOL Olympic qualifying tournament.

“We are very pleased to welcome Brayan Ceballos to CF Montréal,” said team executive Luca Saputo in a statement. “Brayan is a reliable and versatile defender who can play effectively in a variety of systems, making him an important addition to our roster.

“His strengths will complement those already present in our defensive unit. We are confident that he will contribute to our collective objectives as well as the team’s development.”

Montreal (4-9-3) sits 13th in the Eastern Conference, four points outside the MLS playoff picture.
