No criminality suspected after body of missing man found in Vernon

The body of a 40-year-old missing man was found near Silverstar Road in Vernon on Monday.

RCMP said a member of the public found the white pickup truck, which was associated with the missing man, on Aug. 3 abandoned.

A police dog located the man’s body a short distance away from the pickup.

No criminality isn’t suspected and the BC Coroners Service is conducting an investigation to determine how, where and by way means the man died.

RCMP aren’t releasing the identify of the man and no other information will be provided by either RCMP or coroner’s service.

RCMP offered condolences to the family and friends of the deceased man.
