Mara man killed in motorcycle crash in Enderby

A 50-year-old man from Mara was killed when the motorcycle he was riding was involved in a crash with a pickup truck on Monday.

Officers and paramedics were called to a report of collision between a motorcycle and a truck at around 10:10 a.m., Aug. 3, on Springbend Road near Highway 97B in Enderby, according to an RCMP media release.

The motorcycle drifted across the centreline and into the path of the oncoming pickup, RCMP said. The rider was thrown from the bike and was killed.

The person driving the pickup stayed at the scene of the crash and cooperated with the investigation.

RCMP have notified the man’s family and aren’t released his identity.

Both RCMP and BC Coroners Service are investigating. RCMP said no further information will be released to the public.
