Kelowna Farmers’ and Crafters’ Market growing strong in the Landmark District Community

Kelowna’s longest-running outdoor market is now over 31 years old and has long been a favourite among local shoppers who stop by to grab something fresh for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. The produce from local farmers, artwork from local creatives, and handmade goods from small-business owners bring people together into a vibrant community, giving visitors a taste of everything the region has to offer. There will always be something new to try at the market, with around 200 different vendors this season ranging from Summerland to Armstrong.

It’s been just over 2 years since the location change from Springfield Road and Dilworth Drive, where it was originally operating. The location change to the Landmark District has been steadily growing in popularity, with more parking becoming available as the demand for the market picks up with the summer tourism. Many local businesses surrounding the market are also benefiting from the wave of Wednesday and Saturday traffic.

Surprisingly, many people believe that fruits and vegetables at the farmers’ market are more expensive than in grocery stores, which isn’t true. Many vendors have quite fair pricing and are actually much cheaper than grocery stores. The money goes directly to the vendor, unlike grocery stores, which usually upcharge and buy from farmers at an even lower price. So you can feel good about saving money and supporting local fruit and vegetable businesses.

Live music, performers, and singers accompany the market each week and bring a lively vibe to the market while you shop, so no visit is truly the same. The community is always growing, and each season brings new applicants and opportunities for people to have a go at their new ideas and businesses.

The Kelowna Farmers’ and Crafters’ Market runs each Wednesday and Saturday from 8 am to 1 pm and runs from April 4, 2026 to October 31, 2026. Don’t show up too late in the day, or you might miss out on some unique goods before someone else takes them home to enjoy.
