B.C. man charged after discovery of 14,000 child exploitation images, videos

SURREY — A man has been charged after an investigation by police in Surrey, B.C., found thousands of images and videos related to child sexual exploitation.

Police say the probe began in May 2025 after they received reports of a suspect who possessed and accessed child sexual abuse and exploitation material online.

It led to a search warrant being carried out at a Surrey home in August of that year and the discovery of more than 14,000 images and videos in the case.

Police say the evidence has resulted in charges of processing and accessing child sexual exploitation material against 37-year-old Wade Bruce Craig.

Craig was arrested last Thursday, then released with conditions.

Police say Craig is next set to appear in court on Aug. 27.
