The skies over the Thompson-Okanagan region are turning all different colours with unusual light as the smoke and ash from area wildfires creates a dystopian atmosphere.

Colours range from odd sepia to oranges and greys that shift throughout the day, often creating limited visibility and darkness, transforming the views and socking cities in with choking smoke.

In the midst of local wildfire emergencies, some residents are capturing the eerie atmosphere and changing skies.
