A story published by The Canadian Press on Aug. 6, incorrectly reported that Nova Scotia was planning to ban children under 14 from riding electric scooters and bikes in the fall.
The story was based on incomplete information provided by the provincial public works minister.
In fact, the province restricted children under 14 from using e-scooters in 2022, and it is now planning to expand those restrictions to cover e-bikes.
