Blue Jays place Taillon on 15-day IL with forearm tendinitis

TORONTO — The Toronto Blue Jays placed right-hander Jameson Taillon on the 15-day injured list Tuesday with right forearm tendinitis.

Taillon left Monday’s 2-1 win over Boston after four innings with forearm discomfort.

He struck out three and allowed just one hit before being removed.

The 34-year-old was acquired from the Chicago Cubs ahead of last week’s trade deadline.

Toronto recalled right-hander Chase Lee from Triple-A Buffalo in a corresponding move.

Lee will be active for Tuesday’s game against the Red Sox
