iN VIDEO: Downtown Sounds rocks Downtown Vernon

The Vernon Downtown Association has been putting on free concerts every Thursday in July and August. Many locals were out with lawn chairs and blankets listening to local Pop-Punk cover band Fresh Mix. Playing many songs from Green Day, Offspring, Blink-182, and other great songs from the early 2000’s, many guests danced while others enjoyed sitting with friends and family and listened while enjoying snacks and food from nearby food trucks.

There have been a few cancelled shows due to ongoing air quality issues from the surrounding forest fires, but thankfully, last week’s performance was a success with clear air.

There are still two more shows left this month, on August 20 and 27. Iconix will be performing next Thursday, August 20, and Press Play with Darby Mills the following Thursday, August 27. Each show starts at 6 pm and runs until 7:30 pm.
