Wave of thefts at UBCO

KELOWNA – A wave of thefts at UBCO over a three week period has RCMP looking for help identifying a suspect caught on camera.

Between Jan. 23 and Feb. 12, RCMP has received five complaints of stolen property from various public areas of the university. The stolen items include four laptops and one iPhone.

The suspect is described as a Caucasian male in his early to mid-20’s with short, brown hair. He has also been seen wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt, jeans and carrying a black backpack. It is not known if the suspect is a student.

Footage from the scene has led police to believe the thefts are related and they are asking anyone who recognizes the individual or has any information regarding the thefts to call Kelowna RCMP at 250-762-3300.
