Albatross helps Norris take 3rd-round lead at Nexo Championship on President Donald Trump’s course

ABERDEEN, Scotland (AP) — Shaun Norris made an albatross by holing a shot with his fairway wood from 260 yards on his way to taking the third-round lead at the Nexo Championship on the European tour on Saturday.

The three-shot gain came at the par-5 No. 4 and it took the No. 103rd-ranked South African into the lead on 7-under par.

Norris wound up shooting 6-under 66 and was 9 under overall, two strokes clear of England’s Matthew Jordan (68) heading into the final round.

The event is taking place at Trump International Golf Links in northern Scotland — one of the golf courses owned by President Donald Trump.
