iN VIDEO: Kelowna is lively for the Downtown Kelowna Thursday Night Market

Kelowna’s Downtown Thursday Night Market has been a big success for this season. This year, from May 21 to September 3, the market has hosted evenings from 4:30 pm to 9:30 pm, with many local vendors selling locally made goods. From clothing to farm-fresh produce, many locals look forward to enjoying one of the many restaurants on Bernard Ave. and having a peek at what the market brings each week.

The market is part of the “Meet me on Bernard” initiative, launched after COVID-19 shutdowns to revive business in the downtown core, and it has stuck around as a strong community asset for Kelowna. Many businesses have adapted to the pedestrian-friendly events with expandable patios and seating for people to be able to enjoy the summer evenings during festivals and events happening on Bernard Ave.

Each week also has live entertainment from different artists and community groups to showcase some of the local talent we have in the Okanagan.
