This summer saw devastating wildfire activity in the BC Interior that filled the skies in the Thompson-Okanagan region with smoke and ash.
While impacted residents continue to pull together to recover, some have been able to capture moments of bittersweet beauty.

Soaring birds flapping through the greyness, a floating air balloon, and sunsets that turned orange and pink could be seen as signs of hope during a difficult time.
