Blackhawks agree to 2-year contract with defenseman Kevin Korchinski

CHICAGO (AP) — The Chicago Blackhawks have agreed to a two-year contract with defenseman Kevin Korchinski.

Chicago announced the deal with the restricted free agent on Saturday. It carries a salary-cap hit of $1,325,000.

The 22-year-old Korchinski posted two assists in 13 games with the Blackhawks last season. He also had two goals and 24 assists in 53 games with Rockford of the American Hockey League.

Korchinski was selected by the Blackhawks with the No. 7 overall pick in the 2022 draft. He has six goals and 13 assists in 105 career NHL games.
