A suspect was arrested in connection with an arson fire in Kamloops last night.
An RCMP officer spotted the fire in the 1700 block of Kelly Douglas Road at around 6 p.m., Sept. 2, and called the fire department, according to an RCMP media release.
Firefighters got the fire under control and stayed on the scene overnight to put out hot spots.
A suspect was arrested and later release from custody as the investigation continues, RCMP said.
Investigators are asking anyone in the area at the time of the fire or may have information related to case to call Kamloops RCMP at 250-828-3000 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS) and cite file 2026-29393.
