INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — The NCAA has named Mike Hill as vice president of men’s basketball to oversee the Division I, II and III championship events along with the NIT.
The NCAA announced the move Wednesday, with Hill replacing JoAn Scott following her retirement last week after working with the NCAA since 2013. Hill had previously worked at Charlotte as athletic director from 2018-25 and will report to Dan Gavitt, the NCAA’s senior VP of basketball.
Hill will work as the primary liaison with the Division I Men’s Basketball Committee, which names and seeds the 68-team field for March Madness. He will also serve as liaison with the Men’s Basketball Oversight Committee that oversees rules.
