BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (AP) — Ryder Burton threw a 43-yard touchdown to EJ Reid with 9:34 left and UAB held on to beat Louisiana Monroe 26-20 on Saturday.

On Louisiana Monroe’s ensuing drive, UAB’s Ike Esonwune intercepted Austin Carlisle. The Blazers used an 11-play, 41-yard drive over nearly five minutes which produced a 42-yard field goal by Jonah Delange with 1:10 remaining.
