Noteworthy: A captain’s pick for his first Presidents Cup, he leads the PGA Tour in the key putting statistic this year. Coming off a win in North Carolina last week with a closing 61.

Sam Burns

Age: 30.

World ranking: 8.

Career wins worldwide: 8.

Majors: None.

Presidents Cup record: 3-3-3.

Noteworthy: He had two close calls in the majors this year but still hasn’t won a tournament in more than three years.

Patrick Cantlay

Age: 34.

Majors: None.

Presidents Cup record: 10-4-0.

Noteworthy: He hasn’t won in four years. He hasn’t had a top 10 in his last nine majors. But he has proven to be the most clutch player for the Americans in the Presidents Cup and Ryder Cup.

Wyndham Clark

Age: 32.

2026 victories: The CJ Cup Byron Nelson, U.S. Open, BMW Championship.
