iN VIDEO: Costumes, creativity and gaming take over KamCon 2026

Gamers, cosplayers and tabletop enthusiasts came together at Thompson Rivers University for three days of gaming, creativity and community as KamCon celebrated its ninth year in Kamloops.

Held from September 25 to 27 at TRU’s Campus Activity Centre, the annual convention brought together players and enthusiasts from near and far for a weekend dedicated to tabletop gaming culture.

What started in a single hall nine years ago has grown into a convention featuring more than 80 role-playing game sessions, over 70 vendors and artists, and activities ranging from board games and trading cards to wargaming, cosplay, panels and workshops.

This year’s event also featured live music from The Darkest of the Hillside Thickets.

The convention welcomed seasoned players and newcomers alike, with opportunities to try new games, connect with fellow enthusiasts and explore the creative side of the gaming community.

The accompanying video offers a glimpse inside KamCon 2026, from registration and merchandise displays to the bustling vendor hall and attendees showing off their costumes.

The event continues to bring together people of different ages, interests and experience levels through a shared enthusiasm for gaming.
